To be a department part of Turkey with education, teaching and research quality and preferred in the first place, carrying out scientific and academic activities at qualified national and international level, respecting global values and adopting high quality education.

DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMICS 

The Department of Economics, established in 1995 within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, started its undergraduate education in 2000-2001 academic year. There are four programs, two of which are undergraduate and two of which are graduate. Undergraduate program since 2000-2001 academic year, second education undergraduate program since 2002-2003 academic year, and graduate program since 2003-2004 academic year. . Furthermore, students are admitted to the doctoral program starting from 2012-2013 academic year. 

The aim of the Department of economics is to equip students with theoretical and empirical knowledge to solve the economic problems encountered at national and international level and to gain scientific discipline on economic issues. In this context, in addition to economics courses in Economics, Business Administration, Finance and law courses, graduates are provided with the opportunity to work in a wide range of public institutions and private sector. Graduates of the department are awarded a bachelor's degree. Graduates of the Department of economics can be members of various career professions such as Public Sector Specialist, Assistant expert, Inspector, Assistant Inspector, supervisor, Assistant Supervisor, controller, and also in various branches (banking, finance, marketing, accounting, etc.) in the private sector.) they can reach high quality and prestigious business opportunities. 

The aim of the master's program is to equip students with advanced economic theory and research methods. The doctoral program aims to educate young scientists to universities and research institutions.
